How to Play Video Poker
It won't take you long to get the hang of video poker if you're already comfortable with different kinds of poker hands. This game play the same whether you're online, or off!
- Put coins in the machine in order to place your wager. Before drawing any cards a bet has to be placed and cannot be changed after the game has started.
- After you place a bet press the button "Draw/Deal" and this will bring up your initial five-card hand.
- After you chose to hold onto some of the cards push the "Hold/Cancel" button underneath the cards you have decided to keep. If a change of mind takes place, push the button once more to cancel your selection.
- The word "hold" will appear under all held cards, thus notifying that there is confirmation on the screen that you have chosen cards.
- To get new cards press the "draw/deal" button again to replace those cards not held.
- If you have a winning hand the machine will pay out, and then it is set for another game.
Please note: Cards will not regularly be shown on the screen in order. After the hand played, the video poker game will let you know of a potential hand or hand that could have been played.

Royal Flush
Consisting of an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 in the same suit, a Royal Flush is the highest hand to obtain in poker.
Straight Flush
Made up of five cards in order, all in the same suit, a straight flush is the second highest hand. Aces are usually counted as the lowest card in a hand. Example: A, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Four of a Kind
Four cards the same plus one odd gives you four of a kind. Example: Q, Q, Q, Q, 3.
Full House
When you have three of one card, and two of another this is a full house. Example: J, J, J, 4, 4, or 6, 6, 6, 8, 8.
Flush
Five cards in a hand, all in the same suit, is a flush. Example: 4 of clubs, 5 of clubs, 7 of clubs, Queen of clubs, and Ace of clubs.
Straight
Five cards in order, not all in the same suit, is a straight. Example: Ace of Diamonds, 2 of Clubs, 3 of Hearts, 4 of Clubs and 5 of Spades.
Three of a Kind
Three cards that are the same value with two odd cards gives you a three of a kind. Example: 7,7,7, A, 2.
Two Pair
A pair is two cards of the same value or rank. When you have two of these, plus an odd card, you have two pair. Example: 6, 6, 7, 7, and 2.
One Pair (Jacks or better)
Only pairs of Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces pay off in video poker.
